Sirius Petroleum – Time To Sell?

Would Sirius Petroleum (LSE:SRSP) stock continue to plunge? The answer is “no,” because of the reasons given here. Common sense requires us not to challenge facts or follow known falsehood, since the more we accept reality, the better our situation would be. When the price reaches a bottom and further bearish attempts are rejected in a very cheap market, then one would do well to buy. This approach may not be peerless, but it pays to buy cheap stocks from overextended bear markets rather than buy expensive stocks in overextended bull markets.

Technical Forecast

It is true that the stock was once in a bearish phase: something that professionals know how to profit from. Negativity is clearly repugnant, especially on investments. It might make you feel uneasy. In other word, most traders do not know how to properly deal with negativity on their investments. In the face of the past bearish bias, the price reached a low of 3.375 on October 23, 2012, and began some bullish determination (which is still valid). On the chart, two technical indicators are used. They are MACD (default parameters) and the ADX period 14. The ADX DM+ is now clearly above its DM- counterpart, while the ADX line itself (black color) is gathering strength as it is trying to point above the level 20. As the buying pressure increases, the ADX line would go above the level 30 and continue moving upwards. The MACD histogram is already above the zero line as its signal lines are about to cross the zero line to the upside. This would be valid, should the bullish determination continue for the next several days. Once this is done, it would result in a Bullish Confirmation Pattern on the chart.

The market price closed at 4.000. The nearest support territories are 3.950 and 3.900, whereas the nearest resistance territories are 4.050 and 4.100. The current price condition is now denuded, as the bullish determination has superseded the recent bearish threat. Long orders are judicious right now – though the case is not so in all markets.

Conclusion: Speculation ought not to be complicated, especially when it comes to the markets. Since all we can effect here are long and short orders. Still, when it comes to this primary activity of speculators, something might not work as envisaged. No matter how uncomplicated investing itself might seem, making gains cannot be so fast as such. Long orders on Sirinus Petroleum would potentially produce profits in the long run. Gains are accumulated by tested and tried methods. Patience should be your ally; not your foe.

Play the Markets Victoriously with Nano-cent Accounts

“If buying and selling is the only thing we can do, it has to be the only thing we can do wrong. And if problems start to emerge from those basic actions, we had better look into them carefully. Any transaction in financial markets is the consequence of orders being executed.” - Dirk Vandyke

The market is a dynamic and very interesting environment, as its revolutionary charts reveal trends, consolidations and reversal in greater details. A few decades ago, Forex trading was available to large financial institutions. But now individuals can open private accounts to play the markets. Depending on the broker you choose, you can open micro, mini or standard accounts. You can fund a small account with as small as $100 or $50 or $20 or $10 or $5 or even $1. Though I’d say that if your account is too small, you shouldn’t expect to make thousands of dollars from it in a short period of time. That being said, it pays to open a very small account and feel the realities of the currency markets, especially if you’re a beginner trader. The examples in these articles are excellent practical guide for traders.

Micro accounts are great for those starting out and for those who don’t as much money as they’d like to trade Forex. It’s great when you’ve your account denominated in cents. More interestingly, your account can be denominated in nano cents. What’s this? What are the advantages?

One of the brokers that offer nano-cent accounts is Fxclearing.ca* (the typical examples below are taken from their website). As a general guide, you’d need to ask your broker whether they offer this type of account.

Typical Features and Advantages of Nano-cent Accounts

1. $1 = 1000 nano points

2. Very low spreads on popular pairs and crosses. Spread from 3 pip.

3. Depending on your equity, you can choose any of these leverages on your nano-cent account:

1:20

1: 50

1:100

1:200

1:500

1:1000

4. Leverage:

Equity from 0 to 3000-1:1000
Equity from 3001 to 5000 - 1:500
Equity from 5001 to 10000 - 1:200
Equity from 10001 to 15000 - 1:100
Equity from 15001 to 20000 - 1:50
Equity from 20001 and above - 1:20

5. Maximum position size: 1 standard (1000 nano) lots.

6. Maximum number of orders: 50.

7. Contract sizes: 0.01 (micro), 0.1 (mini), 1 standard.

8. Scalping is allowed under most circumstances. Other strategies, including Martingale, are also allowed under most circumstances.

9. All EAs are allowed.

10. No swaps or commissions.

11. The minimum deposit is $1

12. Execution - No Dealing Desk Automatic Market Based Execution

These features differ from broker to broker, yet there are similarities in some cases. With this features on so small accounts, you can practise excellent money management flexibility. However, don’t forget that you shouldn’t expect huge profits from so small accounts.

*You may want to visit Fxclearing.ca for more information. I’m grateful to them for providing information about this type of unique accounts.

Conclusion: How you pay your bills is even more important than how you make profits from the markets. You could have thought that the gains you make in the currency markets would help cater for you and your folks. However, the profits (if there are any) mayn’t even be enough to cover your basic expenses.  If you obtain a loan or overcharge your credit card or evade some pecuniary duties because you want to fund a trading account, the burden on you will skyrocket and you’ll find it not easy to trade logically.  If your family or mate looks unto you for sustenance and you can’t pull the trigger in the markets, not to mention making money, it may strain your domestic affairs, most often if your mate has some misgivings about Forex. Cash matters in the family, and if you’re under strain to earn more cash as a Forex trader, it won’t improve any stats. If you’ve people supporting your trading ideas, it’ll be easy for you to survive the vicissitudes the markets will throw at you.

I’d prefer to conclude this article with quotes from Joe Ross:

1. “If you have any bad habits, expect the market to discover them and destroy you with them. In the business of trading, you have to take every step possible to save yourself the pain of having the markets discover your weaknesses.”

2. “If you are losing money, it's because you don't actually understand losing! Believe it or not, there's an art to losing in the market. You have to learn how to control your losses -- when you do, the wins will take care of themselves!”

Urals Energy Shares Worthy To Be Owned

It is true that the Urals Energy stock (LSE:UEN) is worthy to be owned as explained in this forecast. Going through the historical data, it would be noticed that each stock price would record distinct open and close prices. One would do well to ride this stock to the skies with perseverance. Perseverance remains the gateway to breakthrough, not listless resignation.

Technical Forecast

Technically, 4 Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) are used here. They are EMAs 10, 20, 50 and 200. The color representing each EMA is indicated at the top left side of the chart below. We can see that the market was in a long-term down-trend before the current scenario. In August 7, 2012, the Urals Energy market reached an all time low of 4.375. Since then further bearish efforts proved futile.  This is an instance of a classic buying. When there have been a few flops in the recent bearish attempts, it was confirmed that the trend would change upwards. This bullish scenario is now valid as the EMA 20 has already crossed its EMA 50 counterpart to the upside, with the price closing above them. The EMA 10 itself is also pointing upwards.

It is expected that the price would eventually close above the EMA 200: a Golden Cross (it takes a long time for the EMA 200 to change to an uptrend, and when it happens the bullish run would have gone very far). The price was at 6.25, as I wrote this forecast. There are demand zones at 5.50 and 5.00, whereas the supply zones at 7.00 and 7.50 are vulnerable. We would do well to consider the market pressure, since price movements can happen rapidly, and this might not be anticipated by most traders. A northward journey could consist of several bullish candles that show as a combination of bearish and bullish bars in smaller timeframes.

Conclusion: Speculators are aware of the fact that the price can go protractedly north on a big timeframe, though there can be some alluring pullbacks on small timeframes, and conversely. In spite of some pullbacks that would be experienced soon, the Urals Energy stock would irrevocably trend upwards. You are not advised to short this market, because the more significant the extant bullish pressure, the more possibly would your short orders go into negative zones.

Peter and Serge Milman: Manage Your Portfolios Successfully

LEARN FROM GENERALS OF THE MARKETS - PART 11

"My philosophy is that all stocks are bad. There are no good stocks unless they go up in price. If they go down instead, you have to cut your losses fast... Letting losses run is the most serious mistake made by most investors." - William O'Neil

Peter and Serge Milman live in New York. A few years ago, they, with other traders managed only their own money as a proprietary trading group. But now, they manage a hedge fund for their investors. The most impressive thing about Milman brothers is their track record in terms of annual returns. They’ve succeeded in beating the markets on annual basis and this has been going on for many years. The track record, which was made public on their former website may, unfortunately, not be accessed by anyone who’s not a registered member at their new website (MilmanCapital.com). The story of their trading career is quite interesting, and more about them can be found in TRADERS’ issue of June 2010 (Tradersonline-mag.com). Some of their quotes are shown below.

Lesson

There are great lessons to be learned from Peter and Serge Milman. Some of them are these:

1. Beginner traders are bound to make errors. But once you comprehend the reasons behind your poor performance in the markets, you’ll improve and move towards competence in trading. Just make sure you don’t repeat your trading errors.

2. If the markets aren’t doing great, you mayn’t trade at that time. At times, the most desirable position is to stay out of the markets. Speculation is a game of patience. You require patience, patience, patience.

3. Trading is no science, because nothing can be guaranteed. Yet if you could find a trading setup that works constantly for you, you need to take it as your edge in the markets.

4. Finding the stocks that are hot right now is the key to profitable trading. Since you can’t see everything in the market yourself, you’ll benefit yourself by belonging to a group of successful traders. Trading experts belong to great groups.

5. Peter tries never to chase and always waits for levels to show themselves. This really limits his bad trades and if a stock starts going thru a level he likes, generally he likes to play, lets it ride unless it gets back to his price. This is called a retest and they’re very dangerous. At a point of retest he generally limits his risk.

6. He also advised that if people can’t get employed at a hedge fund or prop trading firm, and are forced to trade their own money, then it’s recommended that they’ve enough savings to live two years without any stress. That’s generally how long it takes to know if you should continue trading as a career choice. For anyone can make money any given day, but to be consistent, that’s the hard part - to cut your losses quickly, to let your winners ride, to not get trapped in bad positions, to trade only if you’ve great reasons, etc.

7. When you’ve open positions, remember that you’re at the mercy of the market and you must have your stop losses set.

Conclusion: Actually, we needn’t know everything in the world of trading before we can find nice setups or profitable entry levels. We showcase perfectionism when we feel that our prediction or decision in the markets must be valid or correct. Therefore, when an observation is made in the markets, we prefer it to transpire as we think. Whenever there’s a bias, we’d want to find all evidence and information that support the bias. Believe me, we’ll always find evidence to support our views, even if the markets prove us wrong.

This article is concluded by some quotes from Milmans:

“…The upshot is that I get to recoup all my losses and still make a significant profit.” - Serge

“It was the wildest back then and I only wish I knew then what I know now. I’ve become a technical addict, a charting expert. They reveal the secrets of the stock market.” - Peter

Monthly Market Updates on Exotic Crosses (November 2012)

“Though the initial starts were discouraging, I kept going on with the simple reason that if some traders are making money, then there has to be a way.” - Sunil Mangwani

When the markets are really choppy, there can’t be an extended upward or downward bias. When a pair/cross makes an attempt to go down while in a choppy mode, it mayn’t even go beyond the most recent low of the last candle before it flops. This flop may be sudden or may be protracted.

Below is the summary of some of my trading forecasts this month:

AUDUSD

Primary trend: Bullish

This pair was essentially bullish for the most part of last month – though not significantly. Another bullish run is expected for this month, especially so as the USD itself has consistently failed to show protracted strength. The ADX +DI is above its –DI counterpart (whereas the ADX itself is far below the level 30, showing that the market pressure is weak). The MACD signal line is moving towards the zero line.

AUDJPY

Primary trend: Bullish

There is a ‘Buy’ signal on the AUDJPY – since the cross has turned bullish. The ADX 14 period has gone far above the level 30 (showing a strong trend), while the +DI has crossed the –DI to the upside: significantly. The MACD histogram and signal line are both above the zero line. What we have on the chart is therefore a Bullish Confirmation Pattern.

EURNZD

Primary trend: Bullish

Here, the MACD histogram and signal line are above the zero line, but the ADX 14 is not giving a clear direction. There is a distribution zone around 1.5800, and an accumulation zone at 1.5700. Yes, the long-term outlook on the EURNZD remains bullish, but the market itself is not attractive at the present. One would need to wait for a clearer signal before taking any position.

EURCAD

Primary trend: Bullish

The bullish bias on the EURCAD cross has been very significant. The month of October 2012 saw what could be called a continuation of the northward journey in this market (which moved up by over 350 pips in that month). The ADX line is at the level 30, while the +DI remains above the –DI. The MACD histogram and signal line are conspicuously above the zero line.

AUDNZD

Primary trend: Bullish

The trend on this instrument is now bullish as the Aussie proves to be a kind of stronger than the Kiwi. Lately, the price has been caught in an equilibrium zone; but it will soon go out of this zone. When this happens, it would be more probable for the price to break upwards. There is a Convergence Pattern on the chart – something that shows a potential bullish reversal.

GBPCHF

Primary trend: Bearish

This cross went bearish last month, before giving up a large chunk of the bearish trail. The bias still remains bearish, because the Bearish Confirmation Pattern (Divergence) is still available on the chart, although the ADX which is below the level 30 shows that the market pressure is currently weak. Should this bearish determination continue to hold on, the price could reach the support level at 1.4950.

Conclusion: One trader admits: “I’ve stopped losing too much, and I’ve more patience. I feel better in the markets. Best of all, I’m happy to know that by caring about the safety of my accounts, I’m working for their lasting existence. I used to think that making hundreds of percentage per month is the ultimate goal. But now that I’ve starting risking small to lose small, I wouldn’t trade it for anything!” Loses are common in trading, but they won’t ruin your career unless you let them! In the end, it’s not the losses you encounter in the markets but how you deal with them that’ll make or break your trading career.

The article is ended by more quotes from Sunil Mangwani:

  1. “Trading without stops is like walking the tight rope without a safety net. And if my trade is stopped out by unforeseen circumstances, I just accept the loss as a part of trading and move on to the next trade.”

  1. “Focus on your trading process and not on the outcome. Losing trades are a ‘part and parcel’ of trading and do not expect to get all your trades correct. Accept the losses and learn to see failures and setbacks as opportunities for learning.”

Your questions and opinions are highly welcome.

Thank you.

With best regards,
